Advent 4211 Netbook
Its differences are mostly cosmetic. The MSI Wind is available in a number of colours yet the 4211 is available with a black lid and silver interior only - no shiny white and curved corners here boy. You only get the choice of Windows XP with the Advent, which is a shame, because it could have been even cheaper (perhaps £199) if they’d opted for Linux like the Acer Aspire One.
With Linux Netbook Mini Laptops, you get a whole gamut of free and useful software, usually including office software. Obviously, with Windows XP you still get Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, and all the usual software, but its a little bit boring and you need to start downloading software from the off (firefox for example).
You do get some webcam software with one button upload to youtube, if you like that kind of thing.
See our review of the MSI Wind for more details.
